Description

This coffee comes from Cecanor cooperative in Lambayeque Region, Peru, where the Café Femenino programme was founded in 2004. Café Femenino is a program in sustainability by Café Femenino Foundation, run by women and supporting women in a wide range of development projects. Café Femenino requires participating cooperatives to give their women farmers control of revenues, land ownership, and acknowledgement for their exceptional coffee. With economic control in their hands, the women farmers of Cecanor have used Café Femenino funds to invest in community betterment projects including children’s libraries, schools, health and nutritional education, and programs that build self-esteem, human rights awareness, and literacy, that this organic coffee is grown. Evolution Coffee Roasters is committed to supporting these determined women and their organization. As a way for us to complete the circle of hope, we donate a portion of the proceeds from the sales of Café Femenino coffee. You are now a part of this circle of support and hope. We thank you. ENJOY!
